[extraction and replacement: game design to school]

The development of the Brooktondale School stemmed from a game design experiment which evolved into the forms of a garden, then an interactive classroom wall. The final school design involved the original themes of extraction and replacement as well as the central concept of unfolding. The school, partially buried into a gorge wall, contains an operable skin system that converts according to the climate.
